Support

Open an issue

Bugs and feature requests live in the public support repository. Issues there are visible to everyone, which means you can check whether something is already known before writing it up.

Email

If the problem involves a recording you would rather not describe in public, write tosupport@mgcrea.io. Please do not attach the recording itself — we do not want it, and we cannot reproduce anything from audio we are not allowed to hear.

Before you write

These five things turn most reports into a fix rather than a round-trip:

  • The Cadence version and your macOS or iOS version, both in Settings ▸ About, and whether it happened on a Mac, an iPhone or an iPad
  • Which engine was selected, and whether its model had finished downloading
  • The file type that went in — and whether it was audio or video
  • What you did, what happened, and what you expected instead
  • A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see

System requirements

macOS 26 or later, on an Apple Silicon Mac: Cadence has been an arm64-only build since 1.2.0. The downloadable engines — Parakeet and Whisper — run on the Apple Neural Engine. Apple Speech, the default, runs on any Mac the app installs on. Cadence is also on iPhone and iPad, with iOS 26 or later, and one Pro purchase covers all three. Dictation is Mac only.

Common questions

Most of what comes up is already answered in the FAQ, and what Pro does and does not include is spelled out under pricing. Purchases, refunds and restores are handled by Apple — Cadence never sees your payment details, so a billing question has to go through the App Store rather than through us.

Privacy

Cadence collects nothing, so there is no support ticket we can look up by your account — there are no accounts. See the privacy policy for what stays on your device.
